It's not a 'book' technically

This one IS a 'booklet' and even though it's by NIMH, and there IS good basic, concise information, the cover is still off-putting (I mean isn't NIMH supposed to *reduce* stigma, *not* encourage it?), and the info in it can be found in bigger, actual books with more information to them (e.g., The Bipolar Disorder Answer Book). For $10 it's definitely not worth your money. However, since I have it, I'll keep it around incase my family ever has the desire to learn about one of the illnesses I have....but seriously, look elsewhere, there's better bang for your buck somewhere.

This pamphlet is free from the National Institute of Mental Health. I've ordered multiple copies of this and their other publications for distribution at educational programs. If hard copies aren't available one can read it and others on line.

I actually used this to help with a term paper I had to write on Bipolar Disorder. It was well written, easy to understand, and covered a lot of information without being complicated.
