PRIDE!!

Rhys and Chase might be a little late joining their friends at Pride this year, just as long as they aren't late getting to the church on time.

Rhys Sayer and Chase Manning are fully committed to each other and their relationship. Rhys has always said, if they made gay marriage legal in their state he'd make an honest man out of Chase. As with everything else in their hectic lives though, the day doesn't go without a few speed bumps. Rhys is going stir crazy at the office waiting for Chase's birth certificate to arrive. No certificate, no marriage license. More important than that, the decision whether to legalize gay marriage or not hasn't even been stated yet, so the rush to get the document delivered on time could be a moot point.

I loved this short little story and how it fit so perfectly into the Desires Entwined universe. It is always fun to catch up with characters I've enjoyed reading about and seeing where they are now. This is a fun, fast read but won't make much sense if you haven't read the other stories in the series, so start there if you are new to books.

Tempeste O’Riley takes us back to visit with Rhys and Chase and all our other friends. The first morning of Pride Fest finds Rhys Sayer on bended knee asking Chase Manning the big question. Gay marriage has finally been legalized and Rhys is determined they marry now. Rushing off first to the courts for the paperwork, the two then head to Pride Fest to celebrate with their friends.

I loved this story. It is not long but celebrates what romance does best - love. Love that should not be the subject of arbitrary laws. It will leave you with a smile as Rhys and Chase demonstrate that love for each other by getting married. Congrats!

Really liked this Novella!

This was a cute little short read of Rhys and Chases wedding day!
I thought it was very sweet you could definitely see how much Rhys loves Chase with the way he wants everything to be perfect for him and to make sure they have the wedding with family and friends. This was such a super fast read I really cant go much more into it without giving this whole novella away. So I will leave this review with I thought this was such a cute and sweet story between these two men and their special day.

All together I really liked this Novella!

I bought this book with the intention of learning how to use the Android's GPS facility to send coordinates information to a remote server via a JSON object. I already had sufficient knowledge of HTTP requests and responses but I just needed to know how to do it in Android using Java. Even though the contents of this book mentioned that it covered Android GPS it sadly didn't cover what I needed, therefore it wasn't much use.

Much of the book seems to just be a re-write of Google's online Android programming documentation, however this book obviously covers a lot less. I eventually had to search the web for the information I needed. If are a complete beginner and you need a book to get you started in the basics of Android development then this book may help you out. Sadly, it hasn't been much use for me yet!

Very good book

This book is like a tool to optimize your project, the author have made a good job in Android 5 Programming by Example, with a good introduction based on top updated features on Android API, you can start develop all kind of project with the small but functional projects presented in each chapter, I was finding myself a little outdated and searching for a good introduction about new elements in Android 5, I am not a beginner in Android Development, but, I wasn't able to build elegant apps like I feel now, this book gives me the power and confidence to start new projects, now Android is more mature, beautiful, organized, and the author guides you from very beginning to end and marketing your project, I would recommend this book for anyone, even if you never programmed an Android app before.

Great book, at first i was a little daunted with using the xml on the UI when the same can be done with just placing widgets and the xml being updated automatically, but as i got going further i could not get away from the laptop and found myself glued to this book! building the new features for android 5 was a real enjoyment and gave me some great ideas for future apps.
Adding CardView widgets was something i was looking forwards to and this was covered early on when building a tourist kind of app screen, this is a great tool to use and i am sure all will be pleased.
I highly recommend this book for all you developers as it covers some really neat stuff.

Great content, horrible use of English

I am an anarcho-capitalist who loves what this book has to say about politics and the economic advice that it gives. However, to be brutally honest, this book has numerous spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors on nearly every page: the plural form of a noun being used when clearly the possessive form was intended, reversed words, missing words, commas in the wrong places (resulting in a very choppy feel to the entire book), failure to capitalize proper nouns, and too many other types of erros to mention.

I understand that this was probably written on the fly, but making a good impression with the masses is vital with material this important, and a modicum of proofreading should have eliminated most of these errors. Since I learned about Bitcoin and related topics and find the predictions interesting, I would have given this book five stars if it weren't for the horrendous use of English (and no, I'm not an English professor who does this sort of thing for a living-my background is in engineering, so I pay attention to detail). In terms of political philosophy, I am clearly very close to the authors, so this partially-harsh review is most definitely *not* from some malicious libertarian-hating statist with an axe to grind. Five stars for content and one star for use of language yield a score of three stars. Continue writing great ideas, but please proofread thoroughly next time.

After reading this I've caught the Bitcoin Bug!

As the title reveals , Bitcoin Revolution is a Bullish presentation of the history and facts contributing to the rise and promising future of Bitcoin. The author takes you through a thorough background not on the technical foundations of Bitcoin but the practical characteristics of Bitcoin as a sound fiat currency replacement. Not letting their optimism bubble over too much there are chapters dedicated to threats to Bitcoin as well as the security concerns for protecting your Bitcoin holdings.

Overall Bitcoin revolution is an easy read and presents material in a way that it is completely accessible to us non-technical folks. I have to say after reading this book I think I’ve caught the Bitcoin Bug!

This is a very good introduction to bitcoin, but I find many views on the subject are very biased and too optmistical. So it should be taken with a grain of salt.
Also, it doesn't offer any kind of advice in case things go totally wrong with bitcoin, because of this underlined assumption that bitcoin is gonna save the world.
